This year's awards will be presented at the Annual Schizophrenia Research Conference, 4-5 September 2008, Duxton Hotel, Wellington

Type of research: Schizophrenia is a very broad field, and the awards are intended to span the whole area ─ from fundamental brain research related to schizophrenia, to clinical research, research on service delivery, and social factors related to schizophrenia.

Size of grants:  $3,000-4,000 maximum

Purpose of Awards: The Research Awards are not suitable for major research support, including salaries. They are designed to cover the small, yet very important, components of research work, often not included in support given by larger agencies.
